The BFI London Film Festival 2026 will screen a live-action adaptation of Look Back, directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, according to otakunews.com. The festival announced the title as part of its 2026 programme.
Two further Japanese films are set for the festival: Ryûsuke Hamaguchi's All of a Sudden and Erik Shirai's documentary Sumo: Spirit Weighs Nothing.
Koreeda's live-action version follows an earlier anime adaptation of the source material. Tatsuki Fujimoto's one-shot manga Look Back was previously adapted as anime.
