Black N Animated is hosting a two-session feature animation storyboarding workshop led by veteran story artist Christian Roman. Titled Story for Feature Animation, the workshop will take place on October 4 and 11 from noon to 3 p.m. PT.

The workshop costs $110 for Black N Animated members and $180 for non-members. Registration is available through the organization's website.

Roman's career spans several major studios. He began as a layout artist on The Simpsons and authored the show's How to Storyboard the Simpsons Way manual. He later worked at Disney Television Animation, where he developed and directed Fillmore! and Jake Long: American Dragon.

In 2007, Roman joined Pixar, contributing to Toy Story 3, Cars 3, Toy Story 4, Onward, Luca, Dug Days, Elemental, and the studio's Toy Story shorts and specials. Since leaving Pixar in 2024, he has worked with Aardman, DreamWorks, and 20th Century Animation.

He is currently a senior cinematic artist at Cuphead developer Studio MDHR. The workshop announcement was reported by cartoonbrew.com.
