Cyberpunk: Edgerunners season 2 arrives on Netflix on October 20, with an entirely new cast of characters led by veteran edgerunner Weak Kingsley, who is voiced in the English dub by Clancy Brown, according to gamesradar.com.
Creator Bartosz Sztybor said the new season is in constant dialogue with the first. He explained that one character in season 2 was inspired by a what-if moment about David Martinez, the protagonist of season 1, surviving its events.
Sztybor described the theme of season 2 as hero to zero, compared with the zero to hero arc of season 1. The animation studio Studio Trigger returns for the new episodes.
David's Story Closed
CD Projekt confirmed that David's story would not continue. On its official blog, the company said David is dead but Night City lives on.
In season 1, David and his crew had a dramatic showdown with the corporation Arasaka. Season 2 moves forward with a fresh set of characters rather than picking up that storyline.
