Doraemon Future Department Store reopens December 1 with neon gadget theme
The official Doraemon shop in Odaiba will close from October 1 to November 30, 2026, then return with a redesigned interior and glow-in-the-dark goods.
The Doraemon Future Department Store, the world's first official Doraemon shop, will reopen on December 1, 2026 with a redesigned interior built around the theme of "secret gadgets," according to animeanime.jp. The store is temporarily closed from October 1 to November 30, 2026 for the renovation.
The renewed interior places neon-style decorations of the Take-copter, Anywhere Door and Time Furoshiki across the ceiling. The entrance will carry a decoration based on the cover of the first volume of the Tentomushi Comics.
New limited items follow the neon motif, including glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl figures, tote bags, pouches and keychains. The lineup also adds a desktop light shaped like the Small Light secret gadget and a desktop humidifier depicting Doraemon taking a bath.
Customers who spend 8,000 yen or more, tax included, will receive a non-sale "7th Anniversary Pin Neon Line." The store is located at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba, Tokyo, where it opened on December 1, 2019.
