Bandai's DX Chogokin SDF-1 Macross Pre-Orders Open for November 2026

The 1/2,000-scale transforming collectible is priced at 99,000 yen and transforms between Cruiser and Storm Attacker Mode without part swapping.

Tamashii Nations showcased the DX Chogokin SDF-1 Macross transforming collectible at Tamashii Spot Osaka, with the figure scheduled for release in November 2026, according to cbr.com. The model is available for pre-order at 99,000 yen, roughly US$631.

The figure is 1/2,000 scale and about 25.6 inches long. It transforms between Cruiser and Storm Attacker Mode without part swapping, and its Daedalus and Prometheus carriers are detachable and can hold in-scale Destroid and Valkyrie miniatures.

The set also includes a miniature Zentradi scout ship with a magnetic switch that controls LED light features and colour variations.

Design and engineering

Original mechanical designer Kazutaka Miyatake supervised the model's design, while Hiroyuki Motoki oversaw product engineering.

The figure is based on Super Dimension Fortress Macross, which premiered in 1983 and ran for 36 episodes. Earlier in October 2026, Good Smile Company was announced as joining the Macross Modelers association.
