GeGeGe no Parco event returns to Chofu PARCO from November 18
The third GeGeGe no Kitaro tie-up at Chofu PARCO runs alongside the city's GeGeGe-ki 2026, with a yokai rally, photo booths and themed menus.
Chofu PARCO in Chofu, Tokyo, will host a GeGeGe no Kitaro tie-up event called GeGeGe no Parco from November 18 to November 30, 2026, according to animeanime.jp. The event runs alongside GeGeGe-ki 2026, a Chofu city event commemorating manga artist Shigeru Mizuki, whose death anniversary falls on November 30.
The theme of this third edition is “Yokai Shutsubotsu Chuui” (beware of yokai appearances), built around a story in which Kitaro and yokai burst out of a mysterious hole in Chofu PARCO.
Rally, photo booths and goods
In the “Yokai Sagashi Rally,” visitors use a map in a yokai guidebook to find yokai hidden around the building, collect five letters to complete a keyword and receive a sticker. Photo booths for pictures with the Kitaro family will be set up during the period.
Shoppers who spend 8,800 yen or more including tax at participating stores receive an original towel handkerchief, limited to the first 200 people per day, while diners spending 1,500 yen or more including tax at participating restaurants and cafes get one of five random original magnets while supplies last. Original masks for children of elementary school age or younger are available to the first 200 per day.
Eight original menu items depicting characters such as Medama Oyaji and Kitaro will be offered at restaurants and cafes in the building, alongside limited goods including sweets, apparel and sundries. Three limited-time shops will open: Kitaro Shoten, the GeGeGe-ki 2026 Toei Animation POP UP STORE and a Village Vanguard pop-up shop.
GeGeGe-ki 2026, running from November 18 to November 30, also includes screenings of anime based on Mizuki's works and talk shows by voice actors and staff.
