Studio Ghibli's online store Donguri Sora has unveiled a four-piece My Neighbor Totoro New Year's stamp set for 2027, as reported by cbr.com. The collection includes two all-purpose New Year's stamps featuring Totoro and the Catbus.
One stamp is based on the Chinese zodiac and marks 2027 as the Year of the Sheep, showing a small white Totoro spirit alongside a white ram. The fourth stamp features Totoro motifs with gourds, spinning tops and fans as lucky charms.
The Totoro stamp showing the forest spirit playing an ocarina among pine, bamboo and plum blossoms costs 1,540 yen including tax. The rectangular Catbus stamp reading Happy New Year in Japanese costs about 1,265 yen, while the zodiac figurine stamp and the soot gremlin Lucky Fortune stamp each cost 792 yen.
Donguri Sora does not ship outside Japan. My Neighbor Totoro was released on April 16, 1988, directed by Hayao Miyazaki with an 86-minute runtime.
