Glitch Productions Orders Full Gameoverse Season
The animated action-comedy from Ross O'Donovan will return, with its second episode set to premiere on May 21, 2027.
Glitch Productions has greenlit a full season of Gameoverse, the animated action-comedy created by Ross O'Donovan, according to cartoonbrew.com. The studio also set the show's second episode to premiere on May 21, 2027.
Gameoverse takes place in a digital universe where every planet works as a separate video game and follows Kit and Team Nimble as they try to stop those worlds from being destroyed. In the show's logic, a hero who reaches a game's win condition wipes out the planet and releases an energy source called Float, so saving a world means keeping its villain undefeated. The team is in conflict with Syntax, a force that manipulates heroes into winning games in order to harvest the resulting energy.
The pilot's voice cast includes Erica Lindbeck as Kit, alongside Chris Sabat, Elsie Lovelock, Michael Cusack, Arin Hanson, JSchlatt and O'Donovan. Video game composers Grant Kirkhope and Jake Kaufman contribute music to the show.
In May, the pilot of Gameoverse was released, and the studio says it has drawn more than 31 million views.
Glitch Productions is also the studio behind The Amazing Digital Circus, Murder Drones and Knights of Guinevere.
