Takashi Yamazaki directs, writes and supervises visual effects on the film. Naoki Satō composes the music.
Production is underway at TOHO Studios, with ROBOT producing and Shirogumi Inc. handling visual effects.
The film is the first Japan-produced Godzilla entry to open in Japan and North America in the same week. It is also the first Japanese film to meet the standard to advertise itself as "Filmed for IMAX."
Godzilla Minus Zero will open the same week in Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, with additional dates to be announced.
