Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen has taken first place in Anime!Anime!'s annual World Teachers' Day poll, the outlet reported on October 17, 2026. The survey asked participants which anime character comes to mind when they think of a teacher.
Gojo secured roughly 16 percent of the vote. Koro-sensei from Assassination Classroom finished second with approximately 14 percent, and Hansuke Doi from Nintama Rantaro took third place. Gintoki Sakata also appeared in the rankings through his alternate persona Ginpachi from the spinoff Class 3-Z Ginpachi-sensei.

Background
