An official website and X account opened today to announce that a TV anime adaptation of How I Became King by Eating Monsters is in production. The series is produced at studio WHITE FOX and is set for a 2027 broadcast.

Daken first self-published How I Became King by Eating Monsters on Shosetsuka ni Naro in January 2022. The series was later picked up for print under Micro Magazine's GCN Bunko imprint, and six volumes have been released in Japan to date. Karin Suzuragi's manga adaptation has two volumes out, while Cross Infinite World publishes the light novels in English.
