IDW Publishing has announced a new limited comic series, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tear in Time. The series is written by Andrew Joustra with art by Louie Joyce, and the first issue is set to arrive on December 16, 2026.
The story sends the Turtles traveling through time, with the opening issue set in 2037 under Triceraton control. A second issue will follow on January 20, 2027. Both issues will be 32 pages and priced at $4.99.
The announcement was reported by screenrant.com. The series joins a long history of TMNT time-travel stories, including IDW's 2014 miniseries Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, which left the Turtles unstuck in time.
IDW's TMNT Holiday Special is also scheduled for release on December 9, 2026, a week before Tear in Time #1. Meanwhile, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 is set for release in 2027.
