Voice Agency INTENTION to Disband March 31, 2027, Citing Suzumura's Adjustment Disorder

INTENTION, led by representative director Kenichi Suzumura, announced it will close on March 31, 2027, after doctors said his condition would not recover while he remained involved in management.

Voice acting agency INTENTION announced on October 13, 2026, on its official website and social media that it will disband on March 31, 2027.

The announcement, titled "Notice Regarding the Dissolution of INTENTION Co., Ltd.," attributed the decision to Kenichi Suzumura's adjustment disorder. Suzumura is a voice actor and the agency's representative director. According to the notice, doctors diagnosed that his condition would not recover as long as he continued to be involved in management.

INTENTION stated it will continue management operations as before until March 31, 2027, and will provide maximum support for its voice actors' futures. The news was reported by animeanime.jp.

The agency was established in 2012 by Suzumura, who went independent together with Atsushi Kuwahara, his manager from his time at Arts Vision. In February 2026, Suzumura was diagnosed with adjustment disorder and went on hiatus; in June 2026, he announced his return while taking his health into consideration.

As of October 2026, INTENTION's affiliated voice actors include Suzumura, Nao Toyama and Yuichi Nakamura, alongside Ayaka Asai, Natsuko Abe, Shoya Ishige, Shuichi Uchida, Yuma Uchida, Aya Endo, Natsumi Kawaida, Akari Tadano and Kazuhiro Nakaya.
