KADOKAWA Sets Kids' Animation Workshop at Studio One Base

The three-session workshop on November 8, 2026 in Ikebukuro is the first Community program at KADOKAWA's new production base, with fees from 300 yen.

KADOKAWA will hold a children's animator workshop on November 8, 2026, the company announced. It is the first Community collaboration program at Studio One Base, KADOKAWA's new anime production base inside Sunshine City in Ikebukuro.

Three sessions will run that day: 11:00–12:00, 14:00–15:00 and 16:00–17:00. The workshop is organized by KADOKAWA Creators and is a program of the Anime & Manga Holy Land EXPO 2026, held in Toshima Ward, according to gamebiz.jp.

An animator and manga artist will teach the sessions, according to the announcement. Participants will learn how animation works and the key points of drawing from a professional animator, and will try drawing the Character Kozame-chan from Odekake Kozame.

The workshop is aimed at Elementary and Junior high school students. The fee is 300 yen for Toshima Ward residents and 500 yen for general participants. The Event is supported by the Fund for Strengthening the Foundation of Cultural and Artistic Activities.

Part of a wider production push

KADOKAWA launched an initiative in October 2025 to strengthen its anime and live-action production setup, and Studio One Base was established inside Sunshine City in Ikebukuro as part of that effort.
