Kazama Iroha to Cameo in The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2
The hololive VTuber will play herself in the anime's third episode on October 21, 2026, a tie-in born from illustrator Umibouzu's design work.
hololive VTuber Kazama Iroha will appear as herself in the third episode of The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2, according to Crunchyroll. The episode airs in Japan on October 21, 2026.
The cameo stems from a connection between the two productions: Umibouzu, who illustrates the original light novels, also designs Kazama Iroha's visuals. That shared link led to the guest appearance being arranged.
The series is currently broadcasting in Japan and streams on Crunchyroll as part of the platform's fall 2026 simulcast lineup.
The light novels are written by nigozyu and illustrated by Umibouzu, published by Media Factory under the MF Bunko imprint, with 13 volumes released to date. Yen Press handles English-language editions of the novels and the manga adaptation, which features artwork by Mugiko.
The anime is directed by Manabu Kurihara at studio ENGI, with Shinichi Fukumoto as assistant director, Deko Akao on series composition, Yosuke Ito on character designs, and 40mP and Yuuyu composing the music.
