Kishimoto is known for the Croquette! manga, which debuted in Shogakukan's Monthly Coro Coro Comics magazine in 2001. The series inspired a television anime adaptation in 2003.
The author later launched the sequel manga Croquette! Black Label in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Aniki magazine in December 2017. That series moved to the Weekly Coro Coro Comic online magazine in 2022 and ended in May 2025.
