Fans-Hobby unveils 600-piece MB-05A Flypro for TFcon Orlando 2026
The G1 Grotusque tribute figure goes on sale at The Chosen Prime's booth from October 23 to 25 for $140, limited to 600 pieces.
The Chosen Prime and Fans-Hobby have revealed the MB-05A Flypro, a Transformers figure made as an exclusive for TFcon Orlando 2026, according to cbr.com. The figure will be sold at The Chosen Prime's booth during the convention, which runs from October 23 to 25, priced at $140.
Only 600 pieces of the MB-05A Flypro will be available. Each one ships in a comic book-style box marking Fans-Hobby's 10th anniversary and carries an individual serial number.
The figure is a throwback to the Generation 1 Monsterbot Grotusque and an anniversary update to Fans-Hobby's earlier MB-05 Flypro. Changes include updated ratchet joints, a bright pink and gray paint job matching the Generation 1 toy, and a new realistic flame effect.
Grotusque was one of the three original Monsterbots, alongside Repugnus and Doublecross. In Marvel's original Generation 1 comic continuity, the Monsterbots followed Fortress Maximus to Nebulos after leaving Cybertron behind.
The Monsterbots have yet to appear in Skybound and Image Comics' ongoing Skybound Universe. In early October 2026, MachineCat-Toys (formerly Lasercat) showed a color prototype of its MCT-02 Ferocy B-Robo, a chibified take on the Terrorcon combiner Abominus.
