Naruto x Ninku Four-Episode Crossover Teased at New York Comic Con

A four-episode Naruto x Ninku crossover teaser was shown at Naruto's panel at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026, according to Screen Rant.

The premise shown at the panel states that Team 7 is sent on a mission by Kakashi, who cannot attend and names Naruto team leader. Team 7 then falls into another world and meets a frog-faced boy named Fuusuke.

Attendees were also told that the first five episodes of Ninku's anime are available on Studio Pierrot's YouTube channel as a primer.

The Naruto panel also included a brief update from the director of Naruto's live-action adaptation and a mention of Kishimoto's new manga Shadow Rising.

Masashi Kishimoto has stated that he created Naruto because he wanted to see the continuation of Ninku, and that Ninku greatly influenced Naruto. He called Fuusuke Naruto's secret mentor.

Ninku's Origins

Ninku, written by Kouji Kiriyama, debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1993 and ran for nine volumes until 1995. It follows Fuusuke, a powerful Ninku warrior who represents the rat and is the former captain of the first Ninku corps, as he searches for other Ninku masters after a war in which the Empire sought to exterminate the Ninku corps and masters. He travels alongside his penguin, Hiroyuki.
