The standalone sequel to the 2022 series arrives on Netflix on October 20 and introduces a new cast of edgerunners.
Netflix has released a new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 ahead of the anime's premiere on October 20, according to comingsoon.net. The series is a standalone sequel to the original 2022 show.
The trailer opens with Roman Carax filming Talia Yang as she leaps through the air. It also introduces D, who reflects on people he has lost, and Weak Kingsley, a veteran edgerunner known as a King who appears to connect with Talia. Talia rejects the suggestion that she and Kingsley have anything in common.
In one scene, D injects himself with a red object removed from what appears to be a dead person. The trailer also teases flashbacks exploring Talia's past as the daughter of Avida and Kiril Yang.
The English voice cast includes Valeria Rodriguez as Carax, Daniel Wu as Kiril, Kimoy Lee as Talia, Clancy Brown as Kingsley, and Nazeeh Tarsha as D. The series comes from creator Rafał Jaki, while Kai Ikarashi directs.
The original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series was released in 2022 and holds a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
