One Piece is taking a break. Weekly Shonen Jump confirmed the manga will go on hiatus following Chapter 1194, which released on Sept. 27, 2026. Chapter 1195 is scheduled to arrive on Oct. 11, 2026.
The pause lands in the middle of the Elbaph Arc, the second major story arc of the series' Final Saga. That arc began on Sept. 16, 2024, and creator Eiichiro Oda has kept it running through the current chapters.
Oda's long-running mystery remains intact as well. The answer to "What is One Piece?" has been written on paper, sealed inside a treasure chest, and sunk to the bottom of the sea.

Toei Animation has announced two new theatrical films: One Piece Film: God Valley in 2027 and One Piece Film: BAAD in 2029. Both will adapt manga material rather than anime-original stories.
