New novels based on The Promised Neverland and Blue Box have been announced, according to animenewsnetwork.com. The Yakusoku no Neverland ~10-nen-me no Okurimono~ novel commemorates the 10th anniversary of The Promised Neverland manga, while Ao no Hako Epilogue serves as an epilogue to Blue Box.
Yakusoku no Neverland ~10-nen-me no Okurimono~ depicts the story of Emma and the other children after the manga's final chapter. The novel also includes stories about Cislo and the other members of the Lambda group, as well as Phil and the rest of the younger children.
Ao no Hako Epilogue depicts stories set before and after the final chapter of the Blue Box manga. Among its contents, Taiki and Chinatsu go out for a drive after Taiki gets his driver's licence, and Hina is active in rhythmic gymnastics as a university student.
Both series have previously been adapted into novels. The first The Promised Neverland novel, Yakusoku no Neverland: Norman kara no Tegami, shipped in Japan in June 2018, followed by Yakusoku no Neverland: Mama-tachi no Tsuisōkyoku in January 2019, Yakusoku no Neverland: Senyū-tachi no Record in October 2020 and Yakusoku no Neverland: Omoide no Film-tachi in December 2020. The Blue Box novels Ao no Hako Prologue and Ao no Hako Interlude shipped in Japan in December 2024 and December 2025, respectively.
The Promised Neverland manga launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2016 and ended in June 2020. Blue Box began serialization in April 2021 and ended on July 13, 2026. The Blue Box anime's second season debuted on October 4.
