Original merchandise featuring newly shot gravure from the first Puppet Sunsun guidebook will go on sale from November 11, 2026 at about 600 bookstores and other stores across all 47 prefectures of Japan, according to animeanime.jp. The guidebook itself is titled Puppet Sunsun Guidebook and is dated for the same November 11 release.
The lineup consists of 7 items: a book cover, a pata-pata memo, a clear file, a glasses case, a block calendar, a sticker set and a shaka-shaka acrylic keychain.
Purchases of original items totalling 2,200 yen or more including tax come with one clear bookmark as a bonus. Buying the guidebook at stores that handle the original items gives one “FUWAA” bookmark.
Pop-ups and a bookstore event
Pop-ups selling advance-sale items using the guidebook's gravure will be held at 12 bookstores nationwide, including MARUZEN & Junkudo Shoten Sapporo, with a block memo given for purchases of 5,000 yen or more including tax.
Separately, the experience event “Where's SUNSUN?” will be held at 195 Miraiya Shoten stores nationwide.
Puppet Sunsun centres on SunSun, a blue fluffy character who is a 6-year-old boy living in the puppet country Twohock, alongside his best friend Nonnon and his grandfather Zonzon. In October 2025, its total social media followers had surpassed 3.5 million, and the franchise had been broadcast as short movies on terrestrial TV and had a regular radio show bearing its name.
