The charms come in 10 varieties based on Tamagotchi characters: Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, Memetchi, Mimitchi, Flowertchi, Young Mametchi, Ichigotchi, Ringotchi, Lovelitchi and Marutchi. Each clear, face-shaped charm holds a character inside, and the back carries character traits and illustrations.
Every charm is fitted with a colorful ball chain. The accompanying gummy candy is shaped like the faces of Mametchi and Kuchipatchi.

Tamagotchi was created in 1996 around the concept of a digital pet, and the brand will mark its 30th anniversary on November 23, 2026.
