IG Port Says Netflix Anime The One Piece Has Begun Delivery
The WIT Studio remake of Eiichiro Oda's manga is still set to stream worldwide on Netflix in February 2027, its parent company confirmed.
IG Port confirmed on October 15, 2026 that its streaming anime The One Piece has begun delivery, ahead of the series' planned release. The company disclosed the status in its consolidated financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending May 2027, according to cbr.com.
The One Piece is scheduled to stream exclusively on Netflix worldwide in February 2027. The series is produced by WIT Studio, which is owned by IG Port, and reimagines Eiichiro Oda's manga One Piece.
Season 1 adapts the East Blue Saga across seven episodes totaling 300 minutes. Monkey D. Luffy leads the story as protagonist.
Financial results
Alongside the production update, IG Port reported a 74% increase in operating profit to 342 million yen for the quarter.
In March, WIT Studio co-founder and CEO George Wada said the remake was motivated by Oda's wish for a new generation to follow the story. In August, Wada said the studio views The One Piece as a reboot rather than a remake of Toei Animation's series.
