Tokyo Anime Next Unveils Four-Day October Program in Ikebukuro
Screenings, seminars and a live orchestra concert are set for October 30 to November 2 at venues including Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas.
Tokyo Anime Next has revealed the program for its four-day event, which will run from October 30 to November 2 in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district, according to crunchyroll.com.
Screenings will be held at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas and TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro. The lineup includes the episode one premiere of LONA: Laboratory of Optics and Neural Analysis, Expelled from Paradise: Resonance, SWORD ART ONLINE THE MOVIE - PROGRESSIVE - Aria of Starless Night, and a 10th anniversary screening of My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising.
The main event is a live orchestra on November 2 at TOKYO TATEMONO Brillia HALL, featuring music from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Attack on Titan and Detective Conan. Guests include Nami Nakagawa, Ai Higuchi and Mai Kuraki, with arrangements by Kazunori Miyake and conduction by Hirofumi Kurita with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Tokyo Anime Next will also hold an exhibition at TIFFCOM from October 28 to 30 at the Hamamatsucho Trade Center, plus a symposium on establishing an international award. A special kids' event with a 30-minute anime-making workshop themed around Chibi Maruko-chan will take place at Ikebukuro WACCA on the weekend, and an anime creator class is scheduled for November 2 at the Toshima Civic Center.
Tickets for the main event and screenings are distributed via lottery, with all events starting on October 8.
