Webtoon Entertainment Joins New York Comic Con 2026

Webtoon Entertainment attended New York Comic Con 2026 and announced animation development for The Remarried Empress and The Boxer, plus a Marvel Comics app launch.

Webtoon Entertainment announced it participated in New York Comic Con 2026, held from October 8 to 11 at the Javits Center in New York. The company operated two separate booths introducing Webtoon and the Marvel Comics app, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.

The Marvel Comics app, developed and operated by Webtoon Entertainment, will officially launch on November 16, 2025, and will offer over 35,000 digital comics.

Line Digital Frontier, Hayate, and Crunchyroll will collaborate from the development stage on about 15 webtoon works to evaluate animation production potential. The Remarried Empress and The Boxer were newly revealed as works under animation development, and a promotional video for the Study Group animation was shown.

Webtoon Entertainment has participated in the event for three consecutive years since 2024. Its booth, themed around the world of the Korean webtoon Pogrand, featured a 6-meter structure, viewing events, cosplay, and limited-edition goods sales. Five North American webtoon artists joined a signing event, and Pogrand author Pogo held his first signing event in the US. About 50,000 people visited the booth over the four days, the company said.

Webtoon Entertainment also took part in five panel sessions with partners, artists, and industry figures on topics including the global expansion of digital comics and the romance genre.
