A collaboration visual teaming Yamato yo Towa ni: REBEL 3199 with Love Live! was revealed on October 24, 2026, according to animeanime.jp. The artwork shows Sasha, the main character of the Yamato series, and Honoka Kosaka of Love Live! running side by side through Akihabara.
Alongside the visual, a video looking back at the story from Sasha's perspective has been posted to YouTube, together with a short clip excerpting the scene in which Sasha appears in Akihabara.
The collaboration ties into the film series' final installment, Chapter 7: Rainbow-Colored Reincarnation, which opens in theaters on October 30, 2026. In that chapter, Sasha arrives in Akihabara, Tokyo.
Yamato yo Towa ni: REBEL 3199 is a completely new work reinterpreting the 1980 film Yamato yo Towa ni and the 1980 TV series Space Battleship Yamato III. It runs 26 episodes and began theatrical screenings with Chapter 1: The Black Invasion in July 2024.
