7 Days to Die 3.4.0 experimental update adds inventory search

The Fun Pimps released the experimental 3.4.0 build on Steam, letting players filter backpacks and containers and ask traders to recover lost drones.

The Fun Pimps released the experimental version of the 3.4.0 update for 7 Days to Die on PC via Steam on October 24, 2026, according to gamespark.jp. The build focuses on inventory handling and a set of bug fixes across multiplayer, macOS and quest reporting.

The headline addition is a search bar and filters for backpacks and containers, which should make it easier to find items in a full inventory. Players can also now ask traders to recover drones that become stuck or go missing.

The update fixes a multiplayer issue where items that are not actually boosted displayed a boost icon, and an issue where the 10th hotbar item could not be sold. A macOS launch problem when Easy Anti-Cheat is enabled was also addressed, along with an error that occurred when reporting a White River quest.

Other fixes cover vehicle inventory scrolling that did not account for installed storage mods, placed drones circling around the player, and a rare problem that prevented login via Discord account linking.

Known issue

The developer lists one known issue in the experimental build: locked inventory slots reset when the inventory is closed.

In the V3.3.0 stable version, a system allowing backpacks to be expanded to up to 96 slots was implemented, and a fix for zombie color variations not displaying was handled in the b6 update.
