A New Beginning: Final Cut free on GOG until November 2
The Daedalic adventure is claimed through a link on GOG's front page, and the store says the offer is not tied to its 18th Anniversary Sale.
GOG is giving away A New Beginning: Final Cut for free, and the offer stays open until November 2, according to PC Gamer. The game is claimed through a link on GOG's front page rather than through a dedicated promotions page.
A New Beginning: Final Cut is the updated edition of the point-and-click adventure from Daedalic Entertainment. Once claimed, the title is added to the user's GOG library like a regular purchase.
The giveaway is running while GOG's 18th Anniversary Sale is underway, but GOG does not explicitly tie the two together, and the free offer is not presented as part of the sale.
An ecological adventure, without the lecture
In 2011, PC Gamer previewed A New Beginning and described it as neither preachy nor educational, despite its ecological angle. The Final Cut version is the edition currently on offer.
Players have until November 2 to claim the game through the front-page link.
