Activision issued a DMCA takedown against Luckey Faraday's unofficial Call of Duty browser ports, taking the Black Ops and Black Ops II builds offline.
Activision has issued a DMCA takedown notice against several unofficial Call of Duty browser ports built by developer Luckey Faraday, according to xda-developers.com. The notice resulted in all of Faraday's Call of Duty browser ports being taken offline.
The affected projects included browser ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The Black Ops II port was titled Claude of Duty: Vibe Slops II and packaged a port of the Hijacked multiplayer map with AI enemies alongside the Kino Der Toten Zombies map.
Faraday's GitHub repository for the Black Ops 2 project remains available despite the takedown.

In the past few weeks, browser ports of Halo: Combat Evolved, Super Mario 64 and Skate 3 were released. Shortly after its release, the developer of a recent Super Mario 64 browser port began requiring players to upload their own ROM of the game.
