Aion 2 brings back Ludra Hunt raid on November 4 with new mechanics
NC also schedules a login event, the Daeva Bootcamp progression event and a Ludra Outfit Contest using in-game screenshots.
NC has confirmed that the Ludra Hunt raid will return to Aion 2 on Wednesday, November 4, according to PCGamesN. The returning fight includes new and adjusted mechanics and attack patterns unique to this version of the encounter.
A first-clear event will hand out special titles to the first party to defeat Ludra, to those finishing second through fifth, and to the rest of the top 20.
A login event runs from Wednesday, October 28 to Wednesday, November 11, giving two Odyle Energy per day per character, claimable within seven days. Daeva Bootcamp then runs from Wednesday, November 4 to Wednesday, November 18, unlocking rewards for everyone in a region as eligible dungeons are cleared, with tiers from 500,000 to seven million total clears. It also includes seven days of login rewards featuring the Lush Leaf Tiara helmet and Twitch Drops for watching up to 14 hours of Aion 2 streams.
The Ludra Outfit Contest runs from Wednesday, November 4 to Wednesday, November 18. Entries are submitted as a single unedited in-game screenshot through the Aion 2 Discord, and NC community managers will pick the top three for prizes of 6,000, 3,000 and 1,000 Quna, with a further 3,000 Quna for the entry with the most Discord upvotes. Every entrant receives two Dye Tokens.
Background
Ludra was designed as the pinnacle encounter for Aion 2's global launch and was removed within days of the advanced access release after being defeated at a lower level of progression than originally intended. The fast defeat sparked community discussion about potential pay-to-win microtransactions and meant most players never got to try the fight. NC said the incident made it reconsider simply releasing the same Ludra experience again at launch as it previously had on Aion 2's Korean and Taiwanese servers, and the company temporarily stripped gear rewards earned from Ludra, promising to return them when the raid was reinstated.
