AKIBA LOST Steam Version Launches With 200 Extra Character Images
IzanagiGames released the Steam edition on October 20 after approval delays, adding 200 still images and control fixes to the live-action suspense game.
IzanagiGames released the Steam version of its live-action suspense game AKIBA LOST on October 20 Pacific Daylight Time, according to inven.co.kr. The launch had been pushed back because of review and approval procedures.
The Steam edition adds 200 still images of companion characters to the game. These images can be viewed in the in-game gallery, the AKIBA LOST Album.
Players unlock a time slot's companion images by completing that slot's Shinjo section, starting from the morning of the first day. Save data from the demo version in which certain time slots were completed automatically adds the matching images to the full version's album.
The Steam release also improves text display and controls and fixes several bugs.
IzanagiGames plans to bring the same update to the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 versions.
Six years in production
AKIBA LOST is an ensemble live-action suspense game that took six years to make, with more than 200 cast and staff members and about 200,000 still images shot during production. It mixes a sound-novel character-switching system with live-action video and 360-degree camera scenes, and was produced with the cooperation of Nippon Television. It won the Future Division award at the Japan Game Awards 2025 and launched on platforms other than Steam on September 17.
