FuRyu's ANOMALITH Gets October 29, 2026 Release, Demo Live on Steam
Producer Gai Kidokoro confirmed the date in an Automaton Media interview and said the game's core systems drew on Resident Evil.
FuRyu's horror title ANOMALITH is set for release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 29, 2026, according to an interview with producer Gai Kidokoro published by Automaton Media. A demo is already available on Steam alongside several trailers.
Kidokoro said the game referenced the Resident Evil series, as those core systems are closest to ANOMALITH's. He also said the gameplay cycle of gathering supplies and returning to base was referenced from Escape from Tarkov.
The scenario was written by Romeo Tanaka. Kidokoro added that FuRyu is working to address negative feedback about the game's keyboard controls.
He said he was surprised that the Showa-era retro vibe resonated with overseas players. In the two months since the demo's release, FuRyu drew attention from players including those outside Japan, per Automaton Media.
