Embark Makes Permanent Bans Standard for Arc Raiders Cheats

Embark Studios says all known cheat programs now trigger permanent bans in Arc Raiders, with no warnings and linked accounts also banned.

Embark Studios has announced that permanent bans are now the standard response to all known cheat programs in Arc Raiders. Any account caught using cheats will be permanently banned, with no warnings and no second chances.

The policy extends beyond the cheating account itself: accounts linked to a banned cheater will also receive a permanent ban. Embark added that it will more freely use hardware bans when there is enough evidence that a single machine is being used for cheating.

The studio is also expanding its in-house cheat detection models built around machine learning, and is preparing to include Elytra anticheat, which is currently used at a small scale in The Finals.

In recent months, Embark has improved its ability to identify and sanction accounts using cheat software and economy exploits, and it has been periodically updating players about its anticheat efforts in Arc Raiders for a long time.

The announcement arrives ahead of the Frozen Trail update for Arc Raiders, which is scheduled for next week.
