Assassin's Creed: Animus - The Board Game is launching this month, with copies being shipped to Kickstarter backers, according to Screen Rant. The tabletop title is published by Mantic Games under license from Ubisoft.

The game supports one to four players, each controlling a legendary assassin with unique abilities, equipment and objectives. Unlike many licensed board games, it is competitive rather than cooperative; players vie to become the Master Assassin.

Background

Ezio Auditore de Firenze first appeared in 2009's Assassin's Creed 2 and later starred in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations. The Assassin's Creed: Animus board game Kickstarter campaign raised more than £274,000 from 2,828 backers.
