Report: Assassin's Creed Hexe Delayed Another Year, 2028 Window Eyed
Insider Gaming's report cites anonymous sources, while YouTuber j0nathan claims two further codenamed Assassin's Creed projects are in development.
Assassin's Creed Hexe has reportedly been delayed internally by another year, with the likelier release window now seen as sometime in 2028, according to a report from Insider Gaming cited by GamesRadar. The outlet attributes the claim to anonymous sources, and Ubisoft has not confirmed a date.
The same report points to two further Assassin's Creed projects in development under codenames, both described by YouTuber j0nathan: Assassin's Creed Mars and Assassin's Creed Pocket. Neither has been formally announced by Ubisoft.
According to those claims, Assassin's Creed Mars is supposedly set in Ancient Rome, which would be a first for the series. Assassin's Creed Pocket is said to be a mobile game set in Jerusalem.
Background
Hexe was announced alongside Assassin's Creed Shadows more than four years ago, and was previously said to launch sometime after Shadows. Shadows and Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are described as having been successful.
The series has visited Rome before: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood took place in the city during the Italian Renaissance era.
