Baggy Cat Games announces At Dead of Night 2: The Great Hugo
The sequel, set five years after the original, will launch "(very) soon" according to developer Baggy Cat Games.
Baggy Cat Games has confirmed a sequel to At Dead of Night titled At Dead of Night 2: The Great Hugo, according to Eurogamer. The developer said the game is coming "(very) soon" but did not provide a specific release date.
The sequel is set five years after the events of the original game. Maya, the protagonist, is still haunted by her experiences at the Sea View Hotel and seeks answers using a ghost box device.
She contacts her old friend and counsellor Quinn, who warns her against using the device. Maya ignores the warning and travels to a large Tudor manor house where the device's inventor once lived.
The original At Dead of Night gained a following during the pandemic, boosted by streamers and content creators such as Markiplier, 8-BitRyan, John Wolfe and DomPlays. That game featured Jimmy Hall, a hotel landlord recruiting an audience for his late-night comedy show, and his alter ego Hugo Punch.
