Gust Confirms Body-Shape Feature for Atelier Kalia After Survey
Koei Tecmo and Gust announced survey results on October 16 and confirmed the body-shape change feature will be implemented in the February 2027 RPG.
Gust and Koei Tecmo announced the results of the user survey for Atelier Kalia: The Night Kingdom and the Signpost of Memories on October 16, confirming that the game's body-shape change feature will be officially implemented.
The feature offers five stages: two slimmer stages, the default, and two plumper stages. It can be switched ON or OFF, and when it is ON, players can lock the body type at a preferred stage. According to the announcement, the maximum plump state shows a larger belly than the plump version of protagonist Kalia presented in the user survey.
The survey drew more than 38,000 responses. Developer answers to survey questions will be published later as an article on the game's official X account.
Earlier survey results
From July 24 to August 23, the survey asked players about costumes suited to Kalia, questions for the developers, and opinions on the body-shape change specification. In the results, 78.9% said the body-shape change feature "should exist", up 0.3 points from the interim report, while support in English-speaking regions stood at 90.8%, unchanged from the interim figures. A specification to lock a preferred body type was the most common request, at 62.8%.
Atelier Kalia: The Night Kingdom and the Signpost of Memories is set two years after Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, in a world facing "mana withering". The game is planned for release on February 25, 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam.
