Battlefield 6 Season 5 Trailer Teases Dead Space Halloween Mode

Season 5 launches Oct. 13 with six weapons, two vehicles, Rapid Royale, and maps including a destructible Las Vegas Strip and Area 51.

A new trailer for Battlefield 6 season 5 teases a limited-time Dead Space crossover game mode, according to Polygon. The trailer's final shot shows two soldiers wearing armor inspired by Isaac Clarke, standing in front of a double-helix Marker.

Electronic Arts describes the teased mode as part of a sinister limited-time Halloween event. The publisher did not give a launch date for the mode itself, and further details were not disclosed.

Season 5 kicks off on Oct. 13, adding six new weapons and two new vehicles, along with a free-to-play, faster-paced Battle Royale mode called Rapid Royale. Its new maps include a highly destructible Las Vegas Strip and Area 51.

Dead Space history with Battlefield

Earlier Battlefield releases, including Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield Hardline, featured Dead Space-based modes and Easter eggs. In 2024, Electronic Arts tasked the Dead Space remake team at Motive with aiding development of the latest Battlefield. The 2023 Dead Space remake was critically acclaimed, but the franchise is on ice due to lackluster sales. Month-old leaks suggested the new limited-time event is a PvE Rush-style mode set in Area 51, with datamined details pointing to two RIG suit skins and three Dead Space-inspired weapons.
