Bethesda confirms Fallout 5 is in production
Todd Howard says the next Fallout takes place in a world where the TV series' events are canon, as The Elder Scrolls VI stays the priority.
Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 5 is officially in production, according to screenrant.com. The studio's head, Todd Howard, said the next Fallout game takes place in a world where the events of the Fallout TV show happened and are canon.
Howard's comments tie the next mainline entry to the Prime Video series, which premiered on April 10, 2024. The game itself has no release window.
On Reddit, fans raised concern that the game may still be years away. Bethesda's stated priority remains The Elder Scrolls VI, which the studio will finish before Fallout 5 moves forward.
Remakes also in the works
Alongside the new game, remakes of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are in development at supporting studios. Fallout 76 was the last Fallout game, released over a decade ago.
