BitSummit High set for May 21-23, 2027, with HIS as travel partner
The Kyoto indie games event gets a new name and its first official travel partner, with public days on May 22 and 23.
BitSummit organizers announced that the 2027 edition of the Kyoto indie games event will be held as "BitSummit High" from May 21 to May 23, 2027, at Miyako Messe in Kyoto's Sakyo Ward, according to gamebusiness.jp. HIS (H.I.S.) becomes the event's first official travel partner.
May 21, 2027 will be an industry-only business day, with the public admitted on May 22 and 23. The 2027 theme is "High," which the organizers say conveys both reaching new heights and a sense of excitement.
As official travel partner, HIS will support transport and lodging for exhibitors, sponsors and visitors. The company began taking bookings on its special page on October 29 for exhibitor and sponsor hotel plans in Kyoto.
For general visitors, HIS plans a hotel plan that includes an admission ticket and an overnight bus tour from Tokyo with admission ticket. Both include an HIS Premium Pass allowing entry 30 minutes early through a dedicated gate.
Sponsor and corporate exhibitor applications have opened, with details available on the official site.
