Black Desert Opens Arsha's Spear Season With Revamped Matchmaking

Pearl Abyss has opened a new regular season of the Black Desert PvP content 'Arsha's Spear', running until December 9, according to gamemeca.com. With the revamp, only adventurers with a Family Fame of 2,500 or higher can take part in ranked matches.

The matchmaking system was also reworked so that users of similar skill are matched against each other. As part of the battlefield changes, the existing arena 'Yoru's Tooth' was removed and a new one, 'Gabinya Coastal Cliff', was added, bringing battles to a total of 6 battlefields.

Rewards handed out at the end of the season according to final rank were adjusted. Adventurers who finish at the top 'Arsha' rank will receive 3,000 Cron Stones, 500 Arsha's Emblems and an Immortal: Elixir of Harmony.

Pearl Abyss additionally introduced 'Marni's Battle Statistics', a feature that lets players check class-specific combat statistics for PvP content. It covers up to one year of data drawn from content including 'Arsha's Spear' and 'Red Battlefield'.

Alongside the season, the game is holding a 'Halloween Cosplay Fashion Show' event, with entries and descriptions accepted until October 26. The show will be livestreamed on Black Desert streamer Tochin's channel, and the grand prize winner is decided by viewer vote, taking home a 'Crescent Moon Blessing Package (30 days)'. Halloween events at 'Marni's Suspicious Playground' can be joined until November 4.
