Blade & Soul NEO gets 'MORE & MORE' 2nd anniversary update

NC's October 21 update adds an 8-chapter side story, the 12-player Swirling Temple raid, a standardized-stat tournament and a clan hideout.

NC released the second-anniversary update 'MORE & MORE' for its PC MMORPG Blade & Soul NEO on October 21, according to inven.co.kr. The update adds a new side story, a 12-player raid dungeon, a martial arts tournament event and a clan hideout.

The side story runs for 8 chapters and covers the past of the Gonryun Clan, one of the Eight Great Clans. Players can follow key figures in that story, including a young Jin Seo-yeon. A new 12-player raid dungeon, Swirling Temple, is tied to the side story and has three gates with rising required power levels.

The first martial arts tournament event uses standardized stats that ignore equipment, growth level and martial arts deepening score. Participants can exchange 'Tokens of Struggle' for legendary martial arts manuals, and ranking rewards include exclusive outfits and phantom weapons.

The update also adds a Clan Hideout, a clan-exclusive space with hunting grounds where members cooperate against bosses. Ancient-grade martial arts manual fragments can be obtained in the new raid and in the Clan Hideout. New growth items include ancient-grade martial arts manuals, Jawun weapons and some accessories.

Class balance changes adjusted damage and addressed class-specific inconveniences, and key mapping was improved. Anniversary web events include 'Two Years of Records', 'Friend Invite' and '2-Geun 2-Geun Lucky Draw'. An in-game anniversary event pass offers double mileage and a mini-game, Gyeonggong Contest, where players can obtain 'Sinmok Bobae'. The 'Battle of the Corrupted Labyrinth' grants experience in combat using standardized stats.
