BlazBlue: CentralFiction Announced for PS5 With Rollback Netcode

Arc System Works Europe announced that BlazBlue: CentralFiction is getting a PlayStation 5 release. The PS5 version will include rollback netcode and cross-play with the PC version, according to the announcement.

The PS5 release also adds four new text languages: French, Italian, German, and Spanish. New features will be included in Training Mode, though the company did not detail them.

Arc System Works America said the PS5 version's release is scheduled after the "TRINITY -PHASE 3-" update. A specific release date was not announced.

Additional character and platform notes

In June 2026, during EVO 2026, Arc System Works teased a new DLC character and revealed days later that the character is Trinity Glassfille. Trinity Glassfille will be the first new character since Jubei debuted in 2017, and will be available only on the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game, not on the announced PS5 version.

BlazBlue: CentralFiction originally debuted in Japanese arcades in November 2015. It launched in Japan for PS4 and PS3 in October 2016, and Aksys Games released it in North America in November 2016. A Switch version shipped in February 2019. Separately, BlazBlue Entropy Effect launched in early access on Steam in August 2023 and fully released for PC via Steam in January 2024, while BlazBlue Entropy Effect X launched for PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X|S on February 12.
