Serafini Productions and Soft Source announced that BrokenLore: ASCEND will launch on January 7, 2027, according to gamebiz.jp. The first-person psychological horror game is set for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
BrokenLore: ASCEND takes place in an officially licensed recreation of Tokyo Tower, referred to in the game as Elysium Tower. Players control two rooftop climbers, Ren and Yui, who run a streaming channel called SKYLIMIT and attempt a nighttime infiltration of the tower.
The main threat inside Elysium Tower is the Japanese yokai Rokurokubi, whose neck stretches and swivels like a snake. The game combines first-person free climbing with stealth sections in which players hide from Rokurokubi, alongside horror elements built around heights, wind, and darkness.
The title is a standalone story that expands the background of the BrokenLore series.
