Call of Duty caster Maven exits league over relationship with co-host's ex-wife

Clint "Maven" Evans announced he is stepping away from Call of Duty shoutcasting for the foreseeable future, saying the decision follows his confirmation that he is dating Maurisa, the ex-wife of his longtime commentating partner Joseph "MerK" DeLuca.

Evans said he had been friends with DeLuca's family long before the divorce and that the friendship evolved into a relationship.

He asked fans to keep supporting the Call of Duty League and DeLuca, who has not commented publicly on the matter.

The story was reported by Kotaku.

What happens next

Evans did not give a timeline for a possible return to the broadcast desk, and neither the Call of Duty League nor DeLuca has issued a public statement on the change.
