Chaos Zero Nightmare Marks 1st Anniversary With October 21 Update

Smilegate and developer Super Creative will release a large-scale 1st anniversary update for Chaos Zero Nightmare on October 21, the companies announced. The update introduces the game's fifth season, which moves the main narrative toward the story's central stage.

New PD Choi Seung-hyun and Development Director Kim Ki-bum attended a joint interview on October 15 at Bundang First Tower in Seongnam to mark the anniversary, as reported by techm.kr.

The game's first multiplayer cooperative content, named "Coalition Operation Core Break," is planned for a December update and features two-player real-time cooperation. The development team also plans to reveal a new update roadmap in December.

Other anniversary activities include a collaboration maid cafe event at Maidreaming Hongdae from October 16 to November 15, and a meet-and-greet with the development team at AGF 2026, scheduled for KINTEX in Ilsan from December 4 to 6.

Chaos Zero Nightmare was officially released on October 22 last year. Like the studio's representative title Epic Seven, the game has grown into a global hit, with popularity in North America and Asia. Choi Seung-hyun said the main target countries are the US, Japan, China, and Korea, with popularity in Korea rising notably compared to the early service period.
