IsoTyger Studios announces retro side-scrolling Classic American Football

The game is headed to Windows, macOS and Linux/SteamOS with a career mode of 16 original teams and a demo planned before launch.

IsoTyger Studios has announced Classic American Football, a retro-inspired, side-scrolling football game coming to Windows, macOS and Linux/SteamOS, according to gamingonlinux.com. A demo is planned before release, but no date has been given.

The game is built around a career mode featuring 16 original teams, with full seasons, playoffs and championships. Quick Play supports any matchup at any difficulty.

On the field, matches are 10-on-10 and include fluid passing, jukes, dives and broken tackles. A play selector offers re-rolls on every down.

Progression covers individual player and position-group upgrades, along with team unlocks. The 16 home fields host matches in rain, snow, and both day and night conditions.

IsoTyger recommends a gamepad for play, though the game is confirmed for Windows, macOS and Linux/SteamOS.
