Pearl Abyss shows Unknown Journey DLC preview ahead of October 30 launch

Pearl Abyss released a preview video for Unknown Journey, the first DLC of Crimson Desert Enhanced, on 21 October, according to inews24.com. The expansion launches worldwide on 30 October (Korea time).

The video shows new story content, ocean sailing and underwater exploration, relationships with certain characters, facility management and improved housing. The story follows Cliff, Damiane and Unka after they defended Pywel in fierce combat.

Players can gather resources, build and customize ships, and sail the oceans of Pywel to discover islands and fight hostile forces. A diving element lets them craft diving suits and descend to sunken ruins, treasure and resources, and a new underwater vehicle has been added.

Relationships, facilities and housing

Characters can build deep trust with certain people, becoming lovers or marrying, and can visit the Greymane camp. Players can also lease facilities across Pywel, place colleagues and equipment, and choose which goods to sell and how to operate. Housing has been expanded so players can design the basic structure of houses, place walls and windows, and decorate liberated castles.

The DLC also adds content that tests combat skill and new strategies, pitting players against powerful bosses in sequence for rewards. Pearl Abyss development PD Jo Yong-hyeon said the adventure of Crimson Desert Enhanced expands beyond land to the seas of Pywel.

Pre-orders are available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Epic Games Store, with in-game diving suit items for all pre-order buyers.
