Seasons of Pywel follows the in-game calendar and changes live while playing, with no reloads and no changes to disk files. Trees, grass and terrain colour shift with each season, and winter brings snow and cold. Weather and temperature are tied to the current season.
Each season lasts 30 days in the mod, with transitions visible within seconds. Every season has its own weather, including snow in winter and rare rain in summer. The temperature system requires players to change the armour of Kliff, Damiane and Oongka as the seasons turn.
In October 2025, Pearl Abyss released improvements to Crimson Desert following its launch in March, and the Charting The Unknown expansion is set to launch on October 29. Earlier mods added features such as a large world editor.
